Get your Project X – A Timepiece like Nothing Else
From their revolutionary creation, the Grand Dome C70 was crafted especially to commemorate Dubey & Schaldenbrand’s 70th anniversary. We thought it would be appropriate to exhibit our skills on this sacred timepiece. We decided to interweave their latest Carbon Fiber craftwork with our talented and patented diamond setting techniques for this year’s Basel World.
The diamond setting on carbon fiber is what makes the project X so exceptional; this is truly unique. One can choose for example the diamond setting, as well as the movement of the timepiece that can be customized by choosing from different colored liquid ceramic.
Three uniquely designed timepieces in the Project X range are currently available:
- Version 1: Carbon case with Diamonds set on the lugs and bezel with gold prongs; 134 White Diamonds (1.3154ct)
- Version 2: Carbon case with Diamonds set on the bezel with gold prongs; 86 Black Diamonds; (1.0655ct)
- Version 3: Carbon case with Diamonds set on the lugs and in between with gold prongs; 76 white diamonds (0.608ct)
A one of kind timepiece can be set with a full case of around 400 diamonds.
Dubey has kept the aperture dial, which brilliantly displays the skeletonized mechanical column wheel chronograph that originated from the 50’s. They also retained the elegant touch, of hand engraving on the vintage movement that has been done specifically by them. The movements produced in this range are the only ones left and cannot be found elsewhere giving it that extra exclusivity factor.
The case has been crafted with the high-tech DS-Lab Carbon Fiber material, making use of solid Rosé Gold for the pushers. The crown and buckle harmoniously assemble the C70 timepiece.
This timepiece is also available with a rubber strap, which is very special as there is no buckle, making it very useful and easy to wear.
